Greek Island Hops compares island by island, using numbers from published sources. Every claim on every page links to a verifiable source with a date. We do not write brochure copy, rank sites by personal preference, or invent facts. If a number looks wrong, the published source had it wrong — and you can check it yourself at the linked source. The difference between a claim and an opinion is a source, and every claim on this site has one.
Data sources
Greek Island Hops draws primarily from public data sources. Greek Island Hops publishes comparison content built from Wikidata, OpenStreetMap, and ferry operator data. Every fact carries a source and a date. No user accounts, no login, no personal data collection. Where two sources disagree on a fact, the conflict is noted and the page is held until it can be resolved — we never publish competing claims as if both were true. Facts that cannot be traced to a source with a date are never published.
How pages are built
Each page is assembled by software that reads stored facts and turns them into readable text. No AI invents facts — a model converts verified claims into prose, and every claim traces to a stored field with a source and a date. Pages are regenerated when the underlying data changes; the date at the top of each page reflects the most recent update. No human writes the paragraphs, but every paragraph is checked for factual accuracy against the stored data before publication. Pages that fail verification are held, not published.
Template variations, word budgets, and section ordering are determined by the data itself — richer data yields longer sections, while sparse fields produce shorter, more focused pages. The voice and design of each island page follow the same template, but the content varies with the underlying facts.
What we don't do
Greek Island Hops does not collect personal data, does not have user accounts, does not run paid listings, and does not accept money to change rankings or ratings. There are no affiliate links embedded in comparison content. The site publishes only what can be verified against a public source. If a fact matters but the source is contradictory or unavailable, we publish a limitation note rather than a guess.
Updates and corrections
Content is regenerated when source data changes. The last-modified date on each page reflects the most recent data update, not a template change. If you find a factual error, the source it came from is linked on the page — corrections flow from the source data, not from manual edits to individual pages.
